Dr. Melissa King is board certified in benign and malignant hematology and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. King grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from Brown University with a degree in Biology. After college, she joined the Air Force and attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hematology/ Oncology at the San Antonio Military Medical Center.
Upon completion of her training in 2009, she moved to Florida and was stationed at Eglin AFB, where she served as the Chief of Hematology/ Oncology. She joined Emerald Coast Cancer Center in 2022. She continues to serve in the Georgia Air National Guard. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, spending time at the beach, and chasing after her 3 children.
