Dr. Henderson received his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin followed by a master’s degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He obtained his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 and graduated with honors. He then entered active duty in the US Air Force and completed 3 years of Internal Medicine residency followed by a 3-year fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, TX. He served there as a staff oncologist until he was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base from 2018 until 2022. While at Eglin, he practiced as a staff oncologist and as the Medical Director for the Internal Medicine subspecialty clinic and was the Oncology Clinic Director. He joined Emerald Coast Cancer Center in July of 2022 and continues to serve in the Air Force Reserve at Duke Field. He is board certified in benign and malignant hematology and medical oncology. 

Dr. Henderson employs a holistic approach to the practice of medicine combining state-of-the-art cancer treatment with patient centered care. He is honored to join the Emerald Coast community and provide patients and their families guidance and support through their journey.  In his free time, he enjoys sports, fishing, and the beach with his wife and two boys.
